BNQI is another offshoot of the purchase of the banQi digital bank in February of last year. At that time, analysts already stated that the new subsidiary would allow the offer of better-designed digital financial solutions for Via's customers.

"Paradigm Break"

According to the company, BNQI “will result in greater financial inclusion and access to credit for thousands of Brazilians, representing a real paradigm shift in retail. In addition to the traditional installment plan, BNQI SCD will be able to carry out loan and financing operations to customers and partners through an electronic platform.”

The retailer's financial solutions platform already offers the possibility of opening a digital account, installment plans, credit cards with the Casas Bahia and Ponto:> brands, and the operations of the Celer network. For banQi customers, there is also a personal loan offer.

The retailer adds that, in the last two years, about 15 million customers used the platform, 11 million of which in installment plans.
